About Potomac Heritage Explorer

Potomac Heritage Explorer is a gateway to adventure travel, special places and the evolving network of land and water trails between the mouth of the Potomac River and the Allegheny Highlands and Forks of the Ohio. Created by an alliance of tourism promotion agencies, non-profit organizations and local government agencies with assistance from the Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail Office of the National Park Service, the content of Potomac Heritage Explorer includes travel itineraries and links to information on parks, trails, historic sites and travel services.
